Managing Opening Balances in Zuriey POS
Opening Balance refers to the initial balance that a contact (either a customer or supplier) has at the start of using Zuriey POS. This balance is crucial when transferring data from another software system.
- For Customers: The opening balance represents the amount the customer owes to you.
- For Suppliers: The opening balance indicates the amount you owe to the supplier.
Adding an Opening Balance
You can set an opening balance when adding or editing a supplier or customer:
- Navigate to Add Contact: In the add contact screen, locate the Opening Balance field.
- Enter the Amount: Input the appropriate opening balance for the contact.
Viewing Opening Balance
To view the opening balance of a contact:
- Go to List Supplier/Customer: Navigate to the list of suppliers or customers.
- Select View: Click on View for the specific contact. On the view page, you will find details about the opening balance and any outstanding amounts.
Paying or Receiving Payment for Opening Balance
To process payments related to the opening balance, follow these steps:
- Navigate to List Customer/Supplier: Go to the list of customers or suppliers.
- Select Actions: Click on Actions next to the relevant contact and choose Pay.
- Enter Payment Amount: A popup modal will appear where you can enter the payment amount.
By following these steps, you can effectively manage opening balances for your customers and suppliers in Zuriey POS, ensuring accurate financial tracking from the outset.
