Understanding Cash Denomination in Zuriey POS
Cash denomination refers to the different types of cash tender (notes and coins) used in your country. This feature allows cashiers to efficiently calculate the total cash they have when closing the register by specifying the count of each denomination.
Enabling Cash Denomination
To enable cash denomination in Zuriey POS, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Business Settings:
- Go to Business Settings -> Settings.
- Access POS Tab:
- Click on the POS tab.
- Enter Cash Denominations:
- In the Cash Denomination field, enter the desired denominations as a comma-separated list (e.g., 100, 50, 20, 10, 5, 1).
- Save Changes:
- Click on Save to apply your settings.
Using Cash Denomination
When a cashier closes the cash register:
- Count Each Denomination:
- The system will prompt the cashier to enter the count of each cash denomination.
- Automatic Calculation:
- Upon entering the counts, the total amount will be automatically calculated by the system.
- View Cash Count Reports:
- This count can be viewed from Reports -> Cash Register Report, where you can see details for any register.
Cash Denomination in Sale and Purchase
Cash denominations can also be utilized during sales and purchases:
- Enable Cash Denominations for Transactions:
- Go to Settings -> Payment.
- Select the screens where you want to enable cash denominations and specify the type of payment method.
- Display Cash Denomination Table:
- The cash denomination table will appear while making a sale or purchase in the Add Sale/Add Purchase screen.
