The Cash Register feature in Zuriey POS provides a comprehensive overview of a cashier's session, allowing for effective tracking of sales and cash flow. Here’s how to utilize the Cash Register effectively.

Opening the Cash Register

1. Access the POS Screen:
   • When a cashier starts their shift, they must open the Cash Register from the POS screen.
2. Enter Cash In Hand:
   • The cashier should input the amount of cash they have on hand at the beginning of their shift.
3. Select Location (if applicable):
   • If the cashier operates in multiple locations, they need to select the appropriate location from which they are operating.

Logging Sales and Payments

• Every sale made during the cashier's session will be logged into the Cash Register.
• To view register details:
  • Click on the “Register Details” button located in the top navigation bar.
  • This section displays:
    • Cash in Hand: The initial amount entered.
    • Payment Method Breakdown: Details of cash received and payments made through other methods (e.g., card, cheque).
    • Refund Amounts: Any refunds processed by the cashier.

Closing the Cash Register

1. Close Register Button:
   • At the end of their shift, the cashier should click on the Red Color – Close Register Button.
2. Enter Closing Details:
   • The cashier will be prompted to enter details for:
     • Total Cash: The total amount of cash counted at closing.
     • Total Card Slips: Total value of card transactions.
     • Total Cheques: Total value of cheques received.
     • Any other relevant fields as necessary.
3. Finalize Closure:
   • After entering all required details, finalize and close the cash register.

Viewing Cash Register Reports

To review all cash register details:

1. Navigate to Reports:
   • Go to Reports -> Register Report.
2. View Details:
   • Here, you can view comprehensive details about all cash registers, including individual sessions, total sales, refunds, and payment methods used.
