Customer Groups in Zuriey POS

Customer Groups allow you to categorize customers into different segments, such as Retail Customers, Wholesale Customers, Friends, Colleagues, and any other classification you prefer. This feature helps tailor pricing strategies and analyze sales performance across various customer categories.

Adding a Customer Group

To create a new Customer Group, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Customer Groups: Go to Contacts -> Customer Groups.
2. Add a New Group: Click on the Add button.
3. Enter Group Details: A popup will appear prompting you to enter:
   • Customer Group Name: Assign a name to the group (e.g., "Friends").
   • Calculation Percentage: This percentage is used to adjust the selling price for customers in this group.
     • Example:
       • If the selling price of a product (e.g., Product1) is $200 and you set:
         • Customer Group Name: Friend
         • Calculation Percentage: -20 (indicating a 20% discount)
       • When you create a customer named Harry and assign him to the "Friend" group, the selling price for Product1 at the POS will be calculated as follows:
         • Selling Price = $200 - (20% of $200) = $160

How Customer Groups Work

• The calculation percentage is applied internally to adjust the selling price based on the customer group without displaying a separate discount on the invoice or POS screen.
• This feature is particularly useful for businesses that need to differentiate pricing for retail, wholesale, or other customer categories.

Reporting by Customer Group

You can generate reports for different customer groups through the Customer Groups Report. This allows you to analyze sales performance by customer category. For instance, you can compare sales generated from retail customers versus wholesale customers to determine which group contributes more to your overall sales.By leveraging Customer Groups in Zuriey POS, you can enhance your pricing strategy and gain valuable insights into your customer base!
