Deleting Products in Zuriey POS

Deleting products from Zuriey POS is a straightforward process, but it’s important to understand the implications and restrictions involved. Here’s a guide on how to delete products, including individual and bulk deletion, as well as common errors you may encounter.

Important Note on Deletion

  • Permanent Removal: Deleting a product will permanently remove it from the database.
  • Transaction Restrictions: You cannot delete a product if there are any transactions associated with it. This includes:
    • Opening Stock
    • Purchases
    • Sales
    • Stock Transfers

If you attempt to delete a product with related transactions, you will receive an error message such as:

  • "Product can’t be deleted because purchases related to this product exist."
  • "Some products couldn’t be deleted because they have transactions related to them."

Deleting Individual Products

  1. Navigate to Products: Go to the Products section.
  2. Select the Product: Find the product you wish to delete.
  3. Delete Option: Click on the delete option (usually represented by a trash can icon or similar).
  4. Confirm Deletion: Confirm that you want to delete the product.
