Enabling Lot Number Tracking in Zuriey POS
Lot number tracking is essential for businesses that need to manage inventory in batches, especially for products with expiration dates or specific production runs. Here’s how to enable and use lot numbers in Zuriey POS.
Steps to Enable Lot Number
- Navigate to Business Settings:
- Go to Settings -> Business Settings -> Purchases.
- Enable Lot Number:
- Check the “Enable Lot Number” checkbox.
- Click on Update Settings to save your changes.
Adding Lot Numbers
From Purchases
- When you add stock through the purchase process, the lot number field will now be available for entry.
- Simply fill in the lot number when prompted during the purchase stock entry.
From Opening Stock
- If lot numbers are enabled, you will also see an input field for entering the lot number when adding opening stock.
- Enter the relevant lot number as required.
Selling Products from Specific Lots
- For guidance on selling products from specific lots, refer to the POS selling documentation regarding lot numbers. This documentation will provide detailed instructions on how to select and sell products based on their lot numbers.
Displaying Product Lot Numbers on Invoices
- Ensure Lot Number Feature is Enabled: Confirm that you have enabled the lot number feature as described above.
- Adjust Invoice Layout:
- Go to the invoice layout settings.
- Enable the option “Show Lot Number.”
- During Sales:
- When adding purchases or opening stock with a lot number, this information will be available during sales.
- When making a sale, you will see both the lot number and product expiry dropdowns. Select the appropriate lot number you wish to sell.
- Invoice Printing:
- The selected lot number will be displayed on the printed invoice, providing clear tracking information for your customers.
