Adding Products in Zuriey POS

In Zuriey POS, adding products is a straightforward process that allows you to manage your inventory effectively. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to add different types of products, including single products, variable products, and combo/bundle products.

Steps to Add a Product

1. Navigate to Products: Go to Products > Add Products.
2. Enter Basic Product Information:
   • Product Name: Provide a name for the product.
   • Brand: Specify the brand of the product.
   • Units: Define the unit of measurement (e.g., pieces, liters).
   • Category/Sub-category: Select appropriate categories for better organization.
   • SKU: Enter a unique SKU for the product. This SKU will be used for identification and barcode printing. If you leave it empty, an SKU will be auto-generated. You can also add a prefix for auto-generated SKUs.
3. Change Default SKU Length (if needed):
   • Open the file SKU already measured No action Required.
   • Search for the function Already Messaured No Action Required.
   • Change the default value (currently set to 4) to your desired length.
4. Barcode Type: Select the barcode type; C128 is recommended unless you have an existing SKU number.
5. Not For Selling: Check this option if the product should not be displayed in POS or sales screens (useful for ingredients or temporarily disabled items).
6. Alert Quantity: Set a threshold for stock alerts when remaining stock reaches this level or below.
7. Manage Stock: Enable or disable stock management at the product level. For services (e.g., repairs, haircuts), stock management may not be necessary. If unchecked, products can be sold in unlimited quantities.
8. Business Location: Select the business location(s) where this product can be sold or purchased.
9. Select Applicable Tax: Choose the applicable tax for the product.

Product Types

1. Single Product:
   • Select this option for products without variations.
   • Enter the default price (including/excluding tax) and profit margin percentage. The system will auto-calculate selling prices based on these inputs.
2. Variable Product:
   • Choose this option for products with variations (e.g., size, color).
   • Define variation templates under Products -> Variations to save time on adding similar variations.
   • When selecting a variable product, you’ll need to enter purchase prices and selling prices for each variation.
   • To apply the same price across all variations, click on the double tick icon next to the first variation.
3. Combo or Bundle Product:
   • Bundle multiple products into one offering (e.g., “Computer Set” includes a monitor, CPU, keyboard, and mouse).
   • The stock of a bundled product is determined by the stock of its individual components.
   • When sold, stock levels of all items in the bundle are automatically updated.
   • Note that bundle products cannot be purchased directly; only individual items can be bought separately.

Additional Features

• Adding Products with Multiple Variations:
  • You can create combined variations (e.g., “Color-Size”) or multiple distinct products (e.g., Shirt-Red, Shirt-Green) with size variations.
  • While adding variable products, select only the required variation values from dropdown menus.
• Assigning/Removing Locations for Multiple Products at Once:
  • Go to List Products and follow the provided instructions in your documentation.
• Deactivating & Activating Products:
  • Refer to your documentation or screenshots for guidance on managing product status.

Using Existing Product Barcodes

• To use a product's existing barcode instead of creating new ones:
  • In the SKU field when adding a product, enter or scan the existing barcode number. This will enable identification across all screens in Zuriey POS.

Adding Product Quantity or Stock

You can manage product quantities through three primary methods:

1. Adding Opening Stock
2. Adding Purchases
3. Manufacturing Product: This option is useful for manufacturers and requires enabling the manufacturing module.
