Adding Purchases in Zuriey POS

Adding purchases in Zuriey POS is a straightforward process that allows you to manage inventory effectively by keeping track of your suppliers and the products you acquire. Here’s how to add a purchase step by step:

Steps to Add a Purchase

  1. Navigate to Add Purchases:
    • Go to Purchases -> Add Purchases.
  2. Enter Supplier Information:
    • In the Supplier field, type the name of the supplier or business.
    • If the supplier does not exist, you must add them first by going to Contacts -> Suppliers -> Add.
  3. Fill in Purchase Details:
    • Enter the Purchase Reference Number.
    • Select the Purchase Date.
    • Choose the Order Status (e.g., Pending, Completed).
  4. Select Business Location:
    • Choose the location where you want to add the purchase. If you need to add a new location, go to Settings -> Business Locations.
  5. Add Products:
    • Type the product name or scan the product barcode number. The system will display matching products.
    • Select the desired product to add it to the purchase list.
  6. Enter Product Details:
    • For each product, enter:
      • Purchase Quantity
      • Purchase Price
      • Tax Information
  7. Add Discounts (if applicable):
    • Select the discount type (fixed or percentage) and enter the discount amount. Zuriey POS will automatically calculate the total after applying the discount.
  8. Complete Additional Fields:
    • Enter any applicable purchase tax, shipping details, additional shipping charges, payment status, and any additional notes.
  9. Review and Save:
    • After entering all necessary information, review your entries and click on the Save button to finalize the purchase.
  10. View List of Purchases:
    • You can view all recorded purchases by navigating to Purchases -> List Purchases.
  11. Print Labels for Purchases:
    • To print labels for your purchases, click on the “Print Labels” button in the List Purchases screen.

Common Error: No Matching Product Found

If you encounter an error stating "No matching product found," it could be due to one of the following reasons:

  1. Reason 1: There are no products matching the name or SKU you entered.
    • Solution: Check your entries against the list of products in your inventory.
  2. Reason 2: The selected business location does not have that product assigned.
    • Solution: Ensure that if you are adding a purchase at Location-1, that product must be assigned to Location-1 in its settings (check under Add/Edit Products).
  3. Reason 3: Stock management is not enabled for that product.
    • Solution: Make sure stock management is enabled for products in their settings (Add/Edit Product).
