Setting Up and Using the Service Staff PIN Feature in Zuriey POS

The Service Staff PIN feature in Zuriey POS enhances security and accountability during the sales process. This feature requires service staff to enter a unique PIN code when they are selected for a sale, ensuring that only authorized personnel can process transactions associated with them.

Enabling Service Staff PIN

To enable the Service Staff PIN feature, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to User Management:
    • Go to the User Management section in Zuriey POS.
  2. Add/Edit User:
    • Select an existing user to edit or create a new user.
  3. Enable Service Staff PIN:
    • In the add/edit user screen, check the “Enable service staff pin” checkbox.
    • Once enabled, a field for entering the Staff PIN will be displayed. This PIN code will be required for the service staff to access the Point of Sale (POS) screen.
  4. Assign Unique PIN Codes:
    • Ensure that each service staff member has a unique PIN code assigned for accountability.

Using the Service Staff PIN During Sales

Once the Service Staff PIN feature is enabled, it will function as follows during sales:

  1. Select Service Staff:
    • On the POS or Sales screen, you will see a dropdown menu listing available service staff members.
  2. Enter Service Staff PIN:
    • When you select a service staff member from the dropdown, a popup modal will appear requesting the entry of their PIN code.
  3. Validating the PIN Code:
    • If the correct PIN code is entered:
      • The selected service staff member will be associated with the sale.
    • If an incorrect PIN code is provided:
      • The selection of that service staff member will not be allowed.
      • You will need to choose another service staff member to proceed with the sale.

Important Notes

  • Distinction Between PIN and Password:
    • It’s crucial to distinguish between the service staff PIN and their login password; they serve different purposes.
  • Accountability:
    • Each service staff member having a unique PIN ensures individual accountability and enhances security within your sales operations.
