What is Stock Transfer?

Stock Transfer is the process of moving inventory from one location to another within your business. This feature is essential for managing stock levels across different warehouses, stores, or departments effectively.

Key Features of Stock Transfer:

• Decrease and Increase in Stock Levels: When a stock transfer occurs, the stock level decreases at the From Location and increases at the To Location.
• Status Management: The stock level changes only when the transfer status is marked as Completed. Transfers with statuses like Pending or In-Transit do not affect stock levels.
• Editing and Deleting Transfers: Once a stock transfer is marked as completed, it cannot be edited; however, it can be deleted if necessary. Transfers can only be edited if their status is Pending or In-Transit.

Editing Stock Transfers

• Editing Allowed: You can edit a stock transfer only when its status is either Pending or In-Transit.
• Post-Completion Changes: After marking a stock transfer as completed, you cannot make edits to it. If changes are required, you will need to delete the completed transfer and create a new one.

Troubleshooting: Stock Not Showing in the To Location

If you notice that the stock is not appearing in the destination location after a transfer, consider the following:

1. Product Added to Location: Ensure that the product has been added to the destination location. Follow this link Products Location
2. Transfer Status Completed: Confirm that the status of the stock transfer has been marked as completed.

Show/Hide Price During Stock Transfer

To enhance security and control over who can view pricing information during stock transfers, you can restrict access to pricing details for certain user roles. This is particularly useful for users responsible solely for transferring goods without needing access to pricing information.

Steps to Hide Prices During Stock Transfer:

1. Navigate to User Management:
   • Go to User Management -> Roles.
2. Edit Role Settings:
   • Click on the Edit button for the desired role (e.g., Warehouse Worker).
3. Disable Price Visibility:
   • Under the Product Section, uncheck the box labeled ‘View Purchase Price.’
   • By disabling this option, users assigned to this role will not see product prices while transferring stock.
